On the bright Saturday morning of November 19th, XTORK witnesses the tension of the final rounds of QMMF’s Qatar International Endurocross 2016 where the season concluded yet another action-packed year of riders’ adventure.
The day, which has started with the cool winter morning breeze, welcomed the riders to Sealine with countless possibilities ahead. Inspecting the all-new track put together by the QMMF, it was just way more tosses and turns for the riders with a total length that stretched all the way to 4.8 kilometers as it did in the previous round 4.
Supposedly the day of round five of six, QMMF made the 19th the day of the finals and R5 in one, making it yet the most significant ride of the season for all four categories. The day hosted classes of riders from 2 and 4-stroke E1 and E2 to a veteran (40-55 years old) and an ‘open’ quad class race.
Once again strictly on-schedule, the administrative verification started at 7:15 AM at the registration tent and has been followed by technical verification at the paddock. The ten-minute jury meeting that published the start list at 8:45 AM did not help ease the excitement and tension amongst the riders and fans around.
The weather’s getting back to its business at noontime aligns with the heat of the competition turning up. At the end, Kuwaiti rider Mohammed Jaffar bags the E1 class with 261 points that battled out on Ryan Blair’s 250 total points.
