They head to Marina Bay with Jose, Monica’s husband and Noa’s father to ready the boat before they head to the Diplomat Canal to play.
While Monica solo rides her wakesurf, Noa is eagerly observing and waiting for her turn.
It’s a unique relationship governed not only by mother-and-daughter bond but a distinctive passion to ride waves.
When did you start training Noa?
When she was 6 she started playing with the rope but i didn’t really instruct her much on her how to do it. She just was around us all this time that she picked it up by herself.
How does it feel when you see Noa’s interest in wake boarding?
The feeling is so great. It’s a dream come true, i can do what i like the most with the person i love the most. It feels great to teach her the healthy habits related to sport.
Can you give a message and/or advise to all the mothers who are afraid to get their kids involved in extreme sports?
I will say that everybody can do this kind of sport. They only need to put their kids in good hand to teach them how to do it properly, and safely. It is nice to try new things and see kids growing with a passion for sports, and it’s amazing if they can make it together…
It’s the best feeling in the world to share things with your kids and teach them how to follow a healthy life style.
Who inspires you to wakeboard?
My mom does because all these years I’ve been watching how my mom does wake boarding and I am just inspired by her step by step.
How can you balance studying and wake boarding?
Well I wakeboard during weekends.
Do you want to try other extreme sports aside from wakeboarding?
I’d like to try surfing and wake surfing.
Can you give some message to all the kids who wants to try wakeboarding or other extreme sports?
I say that anyone can do anything if they would like to and if they practice.
